February 14th 2009. Following the devastating assault on Gaza by Israeli fast jets, artillery and foot soldiers during December 2008 and January 2009 - which resulted in the deaths of some 1,400 Palestinians and 4 Israelis - a convoy of 150 vehicles and 250 activists assembled in London to embark upon a 5000 mile journey by road through Europe and north Africa to Gaza, carrying aid, and led by British MP George Galloway.
